American Gutter Service

Terms of Service

Last Updated: November 5, 2026

These terms apply to your use of americangutterservice.com and to estimates and work from American Gutter Service Inc. ("we", "us"), 2091 S 1st St, St. Helens, OR 97051, Oregon CCB #110122. If your signed estimate or contract says something different, your signed estimate or contract controls.

1. Using Our Website

Our website is for general information. Articles, cost guides and the instant quote tool show typical ranges, not a price for your home. The site is provided "as is," and we don't promise it will always be available or error-free. Its text, photos and logos belong to us or are used with permission.

2. Estimates and Scope of Work

Estimates are free and are valid until the expiry date shown on the estimate. We do the work described in your approved estimate. If we find a problem that couldn't be seen before work started, or you ask for changes, we'll explain the change and its cost and get your approval before doing the extra work.

3. Payment Terms

Payment is due when the work is complete unless otherwise stated in writing. We accept credit card, check, cash, PayPal, Venmo, Zelle and Cash App. Any unpaid balance may be subject to collection actions, attorney fees, court costs, filing fees and collection expenses to the extent permitted by law.

4. Late Payments and Interest

Any unpaid balance may accrue interest at 1.5% per month (18% per year) or the maximum rate permitted by law, whichever is less.

5. Lien Rights

We reserve all rights available under Oregon law, including the right to file a construction lien against the property for unpaid labor, materials, services, approved change orders, collection costs and related expenses where permitted by law.

6. Scheduling and Cancellations

Rain and other weather can delay outdoor work; if that happens, we'll contact you to reschedule. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please give us at least 24 hours' notice. There's no charge when you do.

7. Property Access

You give American Gutter Service Inc., its employees, subcontractors and representatives permission to access the property for the work, inspections, measurements, quality-control checks and to confirm the job is complete.

8. Pre-Existing Conditions

Removing old gutters and working on your roofline can reveal problems that were already there, such as wood rot in fascia or soffits, damaged roofing, failed sealants, loose paint or hidden water damage. We're not responsible for damage caused by pre-existing conditions, age-related wear, earlier improper installation, manufacturer defects or previously failed materials. We'll tell you what we find.

9. Plants and Landscaping

We take reasonable care to protect your landscaping, but falling debris, ladders and normal work can affect plants, grass, mulch and bark dust. Please point out any sensitive plants before work begins.

10. Stinging Insects

Please tell us before your appointment about any known bee, wasp, hornet or yellow-jacket nests near the roof, gutters, siding or work areas. Nest removal isn't included unless stated in writing. Our crew won't work where active insects make it unsafe; we may pause or reschedule that part of the job until the nest is treated, and we're not responsible for delays this causes. If a nest you didn't tell us about stops the work, a return-trip charge of up to $100 may apply, and we'll tell you before the return visit.

11. Photos

You give us permission to photograph the property before, during and after the work. We may use these photos for job records, training and marketing, including our website and social media.

12. Communication Consent

By contacting us, requesting or accepting an estimate, or doing business with us, you agree to receive calls, texts and emails about your estimate, appointments, invoices, service updates and review requests. You can opt out of promotional messages at any time.

13. Workmanship and Warranties

Every installation includes a written warranty, with lifetime warranty options available. The exact terms are the ones on your estimate or invoice. Material warranties come from the manufacturer and follow the manufacturer's terms.

14. Limitation of Liability

Our total liability for any claim related to our services will not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service that gave rise to the claim, except where Oregon law doesn't allow this limit. We aren't liable for losses caused by your use of this website.

15. Licensing, Disputes and Governing Law

We're licensed, bonded and insured with the Oregon Construction Contractors Board, license #110122; you can check our license on the CCB website. If you're unhappy with our work, please call us first. If we can't resolve it together, you may file a complaint with the CCB, which offers a dispute resolution process for homeowners. These terms are governed by Oregon law.

16. Acceptance

By accepting an estimate, signing an agreement, approving work electronically, by text or by email, or allowing work to begin, you confirm that you've read and agree to these terms and authorize American Gutter Service Inc. to perform the approved work.
